Past Events

Check out what we have done in the past

Our hope is that this will inspire you to use your God given creativity to plan to do your own events.

Want to team up with us to do a similar event together, sure! Reach out and lets start to brainstorm together.

Countrywood Apt Outreach

This was one of our first apartment outreaches in the South Sacramento Area. It started with a man named Mike. The outreach team met Mike at an elderly center and after visiting him at his home they became friends. Mike opened our eyes to the needs at his apartment complex and his neighborhood at a whole. This sparked a visit to the manager's office and several weeks later we organized our first apartment outreach at Countrywood apartments.

Cedar Ridge apartments were very welcoming to our team when we spoke to their management. After several outreaches in the same area, our credibility in the community was starting to get established and this was evident at the openness of the management. We set up a live band, food, groceries, kids program, jump house, etc. But the most distinct memory from this outreach was the excitement from the residents; they loved it!

Another unique aspect of this particular outreach was that it was so close to the main intersection. If you notice in the video, you can see a large street to the left of the stage and another street behind the stage. It was a great opportunity to show the community that we care for them and most importantly that God loves them and stirs his children to care for those around them.

Lotus Landing Apt Outreach

We were able to organize an outreach at Lotus Landing Apartments because of the openness of the management. Very interestingly, this was the same management as our previous outreach at Skyview Villa Apartments. The management team moved apartments and brought us with them! Even more amazing is that one person on the management team, Erica, was part of the management of our first outreach at Countrywood apartments! God is good!

Antelope High School Outreach

This outreach was done immediately when the school day ended. Who says you can't preach the gospel in public high schools?.. The outreach was organized directly with the Antelope high school bible club led by Brandon Logan. Their team opened their arms to us and together we were able to organize this outreach. A local Antelope pastor also joined us as he shared and encourage the local high schoolers. The exact second the event ended it started to pour rain. God held back the clouds just long enough for us to preach the gospel!

Stonegate Apt Outreach

Our leadership team met with the management of Stonegate Apartments to organize an outreach and to establish a Good news kids club and what the manager told us was shocking, in a good way. She said "I know who you guys are because I called the city and asked about your credibility. The city told me that they had similar questions to who those people are who put on those outreach events so they sent several city workers to check out the event at Countrywood apts. They found that you are genuinely serving the community and they recommended me to allow you to do organize an event at our complex as well."

Skyview Villa Apt Outreach

We started to set up for the outreach several hours before it was about to begin. During that time we put on some music. The resident directly behind the stage was furious. He came out yelling at everyone, not happy we were there at all. We of course talked to him politely but what happened several hours later was quite extraordinary. Once we started the service we saw how God was working on his heart. By the end of the service he was spending time with us and even prayed together with us. God is able to change hearts, even in a matter of hours!

San Juan High School Outreach pt 1

During this time we were heavily involved in organizing apartment outreaches. One member of our church came up to us and said "I would like for us to do an outreach in my public high school during lunch time." We had never done an outreach at a public high school previous to that moment so I was skeptical that the principal would allow us. I responded, "William, if you can get us permission from the principal, then we will be glad to organize an outreach." Several days later William calls us and gives us a date. That was the start of our outreaches at high schools, which later gave rise to a thriving high school ministry call "United for Christ".

San Juan High School Outreach pt 2

During this outreach I started to preach the gospel. An opposing teacher heard it and started to run over! Apparently he thought I was not allowed to preach at the public high school, which is untrue, but nevertheless he was hostile. I had already started so I only had ten seconds to finish the gospel message before he physically reached the stage. Talk about rushing the preacher! I was able to finish and then we started to sing gospel music. Whenever there is some kind of opposition, we are encouraged that we are doing something right.

Citywide Gospel Campaign: Citrus Heights pt 1

This event was rooted out of a vision to reach the city of Sacramento. I prayed for the ability to reach Sacramento for the gospel and several months later God opened the door for me to shadow the incoming international leader of African Evangelical Enterprise, a leading missions org that does work throughout the continent of Africa. I spent time with their entire team during their crusade in South Africa as they mentored me and showed me how to organize a citywide evangelistic event. It was only towards the end of the trip that I realized that God gave me practical an opportunity to learn the practical skills associated with organizing such an event.

The Citywide Gospel Campaign was an outreach that consisted of three evening services and one sunday morning service. Volunteers from all around Sacramento as well as other places worked diligently to pass out more than 30,000 flyers to the city of Citrus Heights. Throughout the four day event many people attended and responded to the gospel. One of those individuals was a man named Chris, who had not been in church for more than 30 years and during one of the services he gave his life to Christ. We later had the privilege to disciple him and watch him grow spiritually. Chris was a prime example of how the gospel has the power to change lives!

Valley Christian High Outreach pt1

Do not let the words "Christian high school" fool you. Unfortunately, many Christian schools are filled with students who know about God but are far from Him. Therefore, the gospel must penetrate into the Christian private schools as well. This particular school was very receptive to our team and the same concern that we have regarding students knowing and understanding the gospel was equally shared with the staff and leadership of the school. It was quite pleasant working together as we proclaimed the gospel as a team.

Valley Christian High Outreach pt2

This particular outreach was an already existing event that was tailored to an outreach event. Our friend Michael approached us and asked us to team up with their school band in order to share the gospel to their fellow students. We agreed of course, and together we had a blast ministering to the students. It was our first time where attendance to our outreach was mandatory! The leadership of the school made it an assembly for all the high school students. The band was great and after the outreach we had the privilege to meet some of the nicest staff and parents that we came across.

UFC or United For Christ is a high school ministry that was birthed out of the outreaches performed at public high schools. After organizing several outreaches our team was met with a large need that existed in the public high schools. This need was that many of the Christian bible clubs in the high schools we worked with were neglected. Many of the leaders of such clubs were asking for guidance and resources to effectively use their existing clubs to reach their fellow students. Out of this need UFC was started to become a resource for high school students to effectively start, lead, and grow their ministries in the public high schools.

UFC High School Conference

Foothill Community Park Outreach

Many various people were invited to the Foothill Park Outreach including local neighbors and people passing by but the majority of the attendees were young people from various churches. This event became more of an awakening service for believers as many of the attendees were church going youth. As the gospel was preached many of the youth were touched and responded to what God was doing in their hearts. Many times we think the gospel is only for those who don't know Christ but it is powerful to renew, restore, and revive our hearts as well.

Missions Worldwide Conference 2010

The purpose of this conference was aimed to solve one problem: how do we get university students to become passionate about missionary work and spreading the gospel locally. The answer was simple: connect people who are already passionate about spreading the gospel with such students. That became the focus of the Missions Worldwide conference. We brought in various missionaries that serve around the world.

Antelope Park Outreach

At this time, we had just finished out first high school outreach at San Juan High in Citrus Heights. Our next goal was to get into the next public high school; Antelope high was our next target. As we strategized, we thought: what if we did an outreach directly next to the school right after school ends? This is exactly what we did at Antelope Park. It was quite a thrill as we ventured into new strategies to reach the students with the gospel. It turns out that this method was not one of the most effective to reach students. Nevertheless, the event was still successful as a small group of students were able to hear the gospel in a place where they would least expect.

Missions Worldwide Conference 2009

This conference started Missions Worldwide as an organization. It all started with my deepened relationship with Christ. I studied abroad in Moscow, Russia for a summer + semester when I attended university. I moved to Russia by myself and lived in a studio apartment with no close friends or relatives within thousands of miles. Besides when there were church functions, I spent most evenings alone in my apartment. This gave me an opportunity to pray..and pray A LOT. During one of my evening prayer times with God I heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart, not audible but ever so clearly: organize a university missions conference. Scared and unsure how to proceed, I took a leap of faith and started on a remarkable journey that has been getting more and more remarkable each day. [I will post the full story of how this conference was organized.. it gets even more interesting]

Casa Roble High School Outreach

This outreach was another chance to get into the public high schools. As usual, we teamed up with the existing student bible club. We chose to do this outreach right after school ended in the school lunch area. This event was a second indicator that after-school events aren't nearly as effective as events organized during school hours but we are amazed time and time again that no matter where or when we organize evangelistic services God decides to move through the preaching of His word. It shows us that God is truly sovereign and He uses our efforts to expand his kingdom. Therefore, GO and do something for God's kingdom! You will be amazed how He will use your ideas, no matter how crazy or simple they may seem.

We would love to talk to you about it.
